Sqloud · Client for MySQL
LEEDLAB(이하 ‘개발자’)은 iPhone·iPad용 데이터베이스 클라이언트 앱 Sqloud(스토어 이름 ‘Sqloud: Client for MySQL’, 번들 ID at.leed.querypad, 이하 ‘앱’)를 제공하며, 이 방침으로 앱이 어떤 정보를 어떻게 다루는지 설명합니다.
4. 광고(Google AdMob)

Sqloud Pro
(Apple)
|---|---|
Google LLC (policies.google.com/privacy) |

Sqloud · Client for MySQL
Privacy Policy
LEEDLAB (“the developer”) provides Sqloud (store name “Sqloud: Client for MySQL”, bundle ID at.leed.querypad, “the app”), a database client for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. The developer does not collect your personal information. The app has no sign-up, no server run by the developer and no analytics, and your connections and queries are stored only on your device. Banner ads on the free plan are provided by Google AdMob; the information involved is described in section 4.
1. Information the developer collects
The developer does not collect, store or use your personal information. The app has no sign-up or sign-in, no feature that sends information to a server run by the developer, and no analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
On the free plan, however, the Google Mobile Ads SDK that shows ads sends the information in section 4 directly to Google. It does not pass through the developer, and the developer only sees aggregated AdMob reports that do not identify you.
2. Information stored only on your device
The information the app needs to work is stored only on your device.
| Item | Contents | Where it's stored |
|---|---|---|
| Connection profiles | Name, color and group, host, port, user name, default database, TLS settings and CA certificate, SSH settings, trusted SSH host key fingerprints, Face ID protection setting | The app's Application Support folder |
| Query history | SQL statements you ran, database, row count, error message, duration and time (up to 2,000 entries) | The app's Application Support folder |
| Saved queries and drafts | Queries you saved and drafts of SQL editor tabs | The app's Application Support folder |
| Secrets | Passwords, SSH private keys and key passphrases | iOS Keychain (this device only, available after first unlock) |
| App settings | Theme, personalized ads and similar settings | The app's settings storage (UserDefaults) |
- This information is never sent to the developer, and the developer cannot see it. The app does not sync it through iCloud or any other service.
- Files are saved with iOS Data Protection, so they can't be read until the device has been unlocked for the first time after a restart.
- Keychain items are saved as “this device only”, so they are never synced or restored to another device.
- If device backups are on, files such as connection profiles and history may be included in backups according to the operating system's rules.
3. Connecting to your database and SSH servers
The app connects directly from your device to the MySQL or MariaDB servers and SSH servers you enter. Credentials, the SQL you run and the data you query travel only between your device and your servers, never through the developer or any third party.
- Whether traffic is encrypted depends on your connection settings. With TLS off and no SSH tunnel, traffic to your server isn't encrypted, so we recommend TLS or an SSH tunnel for any connection over the internet.
- Query results are kept in memory to show them on screen and are not saved to files. If you copy results or export them as CSV, they go wherever you choose.
- The app saves the SSH host key fingerprint you confirm on first connect and warns you if the key changes later.
4. Ads (Google AdMob)
On the free plan, the app shows Google AdMob banner ads from Google LLC below the connection list and sidebar. The Google Mobile Ads SDK (version 13.11.0) and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) in the app may collect the following and send it to Google for ad serving, ad measurement and fraud prevention.
| Information | Details |
|---|---|
| Device identifiers | The advertising identifier (IDFA), used only if you allow it in the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you don't, it isn't used. |
| Advertising data | Ad requests, impressions and clicks |
| Product interaction | Events for ad measurement, such as app launches and interactions with ads |
| Coarse location | An approximate region estimated from your IP address (the app never asks for precise location) |
| Diagnostics | Performance and crash data from the ad SDK |
The app never passes your connection details, SQL or database contents to the ad SDK and never uses them for ads.
Sqloud Pro users
While you use Sqloud Pro, the app does not start the Google Mobile Ads SDK. It requests no ads and shows neither the ad consent form nor the tracking prompt.
Consent and choices
- Where consent is required by law, such as the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the app shows the Google UMP consent form at launch. You can change your choices later in the app's Settings > Ads and privacy > Ad privacy options.
- The IDFA is used only if you allow it in the ATT prompt. Change your choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or from Allow app tracking in the app's Settings > Ads and privacy.
- Turn off Personalized ads in the app's Settings > Ads and privacy to request only ads that aren't based on your interests.
Google handles this information under the Google Privacy Policy and as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
5. Purchases and subscriptions (Apple)
The Sqloud Pro monthly subscription and lifetime purchase are processed through Apple's App Store payments (StoreKit 2). Payment details such as your payment method, name and Apple Account are handled by Apple; the developer never receives them.
- The app checks Apple's transaction records on your device to decide whether you have Pro, without using any developer server.
- The developer only sees aggregated sales and subscription reports that Apple provides in App Store Connect.
- Apple handles your information under the Apple Privacy Policy.
6. Sharing and international transfers
Because the developer doesn't collect or keep your information, it doesn't sell or share it with anyone. On the free plan, the Google Mobile Ads SDK sends the advertising information in section 4 directly to Google, where it may be processed outside your country as follows.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Recipient | Google LLC (policies.google.com/privacy) |
| Countries | The United States and other countries where Google operates data centers |
| Information | Advertising identifier (if allowed), IP address, device information, ad interactions, diagnostics |
| When and how | Over the network (HTTPS) when ads are requested and shown on the free plan |
| Purpose | Ad serving, ad measurement, fraud prevention |
| Retention | As set out in Google's Privacy Policy |
To limit these transfers, you can turn off personalized ads and not allow tracking. With Sqloud Pro, no ad requests are made at all.
7. Analytics and crash reporting
The developer has not added any analytics or crash-reporting SDK to the app, and nothing in the app sends your usage to the developer (for ad measurement on the free plan, see section 4).
If you allow sharing with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide crash reports and aggregated statistics collected by the operating system to the developer through App Store Connect. The developer does not use them to identify you.
8. Permissions the app asks for
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Local Network | Connecting to MySQL and SSH servers on your local network |
| Face ID | Confirming it's you when opening a connection with Face ID protection on. Biometric data is handled by iOS and never reaches the app. |
| App Tracking Transparency (free plan) | Asking permission to use the IDFA for personalized ads (optional) |
The app never asks for location, photos, camera, microphone or contacts.
9. Children's privacy
The app is a tool for developers and database administrators. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age set by the law where you live, such as under 14 in Korea), and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Retention and deletion
Information stored on your device stays there until you delete it.
- Deleting a connection removes its profile, its password, SSH key and key passphrase in the Keychain, its history, the saved queries tied to it and its editor drafts.
- History and saved queries can be deleted one by one or all at once from their screens.
- Deleting the app removes all files and settings in the app's folder. iOS may keep Keychain items on the device after an app is deleted, so to be sure your secrets are gone, delete your connections before deleting the app.
- Server-side data: the developer keeps no information about you, so there is no server-side data to delete. Advertising information handled by Google is subject to Google's policies and your Google ad settings.
To exercise your privacy rights, such as access, correction or deletion, or for any privacy question, contact me@leed.at.
11. Security
App data is stored in the app's own sandbox with iOS Data Protection, and secrets are kept separately in the Keychain. You can turn on Face ID protection per connection. The developer keeps no user information on any server.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Significant changes that affect you negatively will be announced in advance on this page or in app update notes.
